The National Service Scheme (NSS) is an Indian government-sponsored public service program conducted by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports of the Government of India. Popularly known as NSS, the scheme was launched in Gandhiji's Centenary year in 1969. Aimed at developing student's personality through community service, NSS is a voluntary association of young people in Colleges, Universities and at +2 level working for a campus-community (esp. Villages) linkage.

Unnat Bharat Abhiyan

The conceptualization of Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) started with the initiative of a group of dedicated faculty members of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi working for long in the area of rural development and appropriate technology. The program was formally launched by the Ministry of Education (MoE) (formerly Ministry Human Resource Development (MHRD)) in presence of The President of India on 11th November, 2014. 

 

GCET is the one of the registered Engineering College under UBA among 80 colleges in TELANAGANA state. UBA was Sanctioned a token amount of Rs.50, 000/- to GCET in February 2021 to develop the adopted villages.
